Players will need to buy the storm forecasts from an NPC for a Season 8 challenge. Several NPCs sell storm forecasts, but Torin is the best choice.
Players can purchase a Storm Forecast during a match from the NPC characters added to Fortnite Season 8. Obtaining the Storm Forecast does allow players to have a competitive advantage over opponents. If the player knows where the Storm is going to be, they can properly adjust their strategy to revolve around its exact location.
Purchasing a Storm Forecast can also earn players some XP to level up their Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass thanks to a new Character Quest. Character Quests are missions provided by the various NPCs on the map. One of the newest NPCs to arrive on the island is Wrath, and he has five new missions for players to tackle. One mission tasks players with getting a Storm Forecast.
Wrath's questline is called Escaped Tenant and will give players more challenging tasks that test their luck and skill. This is the complete set of challenges to come from Wrath.
- Spot two enemy players using the Recon Scanner: 12k XP.
- Use a jump pad or jump vent and travel 100 meters before landing: 14k XP.
- Get a storm forecast from a character: 16k XP.
- Get a bounty from a bounty board: 18k XP.
- Complete a bounty: 20k XP.
In order for players to access this content, they will need to find Wrath. He can be found in what used to be Stealthy Stronghold in the northern region of the map. After completing the first two challenges, players will need to save their gold to make the purchase. Only a handful of NPCs have a Storm Forecast available.
Where To Purchase Storm Forecasts From Characters in Fortnite Season 8
The best place to get a Storm Forecast and complete this Fortnite Season 8 challenge will be near the Aftermath in the center of the map. Here, players can find Torin, another new character introduced in Season 8. She is one of the few NPCs who will have a Storm Forecast for sale.
Players should land near this area, interact with Torin, and select the option to purchase a Storm Forecast. This will cost 170 gold bars to purchase. Players can earn more gold bars by completing Character Quests, stealing them from players, opening chests and safes, or robbing cash registers.
Once players complete this challenge, they will be rewarded with 16,000 XP toward their Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass. This will also unlock the next quest in the sequence, in which players need to get a bounty from a bounty board. This can be completed in the same match, or, if players are eliminated, it can be done in a separate one.
