Not only does Fortnite have great live events, but they also have amazing collaborations. Check out every past, present, and upcoming Fortnite collaboration.

We’re now going to go over each live event in detail, starting all the way back from Blast Off and updating whenever new live events release.

Blast Off

All Fortnite Events Ever Blast Off

Blast Off was the first ever Fortnite in-game event, and changed the landscape of live-service games, with many trying to achieve Fortnite’s success.

On June 30, 2018, The Visitor launched a rocket, which he had been building over the course of Season 4. After it flew at a slow rate, the first booster fell off and crashed into Anarchy Acres. As the rocket headed down to the Island, four red beams pointed straight at Tilted Towers, and before it could hit, a rift took the rocket away.

The rocket then flew through rifts around the island, before it flew into the sky again and created the Sideways Rift, better known as the Crack in the Sky. The Sideways Rift remained above the island until mid-Season 5.

Butterfly Event

Fortnite All Live Events Butterfly Event

When the Sideways Rift finally closed, it spawned the first Cube. At the time, we didn’t know, but The Cube was a malicious and sentient being on a mission to corrupt everything.

The Cube, or Kevin as the community had named it, had been headed across the Fortnite island before the event. And it had ended up in Loot Lake, where it became a small island and rose to the sky, becoming the Floating Island.

After leaking energy into the lake, The Cube then began to spin and shine brightly until all players were taken to The In-Between. In this realm, a giant rift in the shape of a Butterfly began to form. A smaller butterfly landed on the player’s fingers before they were brought back to reality. When brought back, Loot Lake had become a small group of islands.

Ice Storm

Fortnite All Live Events Ice Storm

Polar Peak had started to melt, and as such, The Ice King wanted to stop this. An ice sphere appeared atop Polar Peak, where players could see The Ice King inside. This is where he held fragments of The Cube.

TVs across the Island began to count down to a snowstorm. At the end of the countdown, the sphere cracked, and The Ice King summoned a large apparition of himself and covered the entire map with snow, causing Ice Fiends to spawn across the map.

Showtime

Fortnite All Live Events Showtime

Showtime was the first non-story live event in Fortnite, being a concert held by Marshmello. As the setlist played, the on-stage effects would change. This included anti-gravity.

Showtime set the stage (excuse the pun) for future Fortnite live events that were unrelated to the story or world of Fortnite.

The Unvaulting

Fortnite All Live Events The Unvaulting

The Government began creating dig sites around the Island, and dug up Loot Lake, only to find a vault underneath.

After the vault opened, players could enter, finding The Zero Point as an orb. Players had the choice of one of six items to be unvaulted from previous seasons, and players chose the Drum Gun. After the item became available, players were returned to the Island.

After The Unvaulting, the volcano erupted, causing the destruction of half of Retail Row, as well as cracking Polar Peak, and destroying Tilted Towers.

The Final Showdown

All Fortnite Live Events Ever The Final Showdown

The Devourer began destroying the Island, with the Imagined Order happily letting it. However, they were worried that the monster would harm The Zero Point.

Fortunately, The Paradigm volunteered to pilot the Mech, officially known as Mecha Team Leader. After a fight, with both sides taking major hits, the Mech used the statue from Neo Tilted, which was revealed to be a sword, and kills the monster. The Mech then emoted and flew towards The Ice Moon.

The biggest thing after the event was the release of The Zero Point, which caused the fabric of Time to collapse.

The End (Chapter 1)

Fortnite All Live Events The End or Black Hole

The End event for Chapter 1 is arguably one of Fortnite’s most iconic, if not for the event itself but for the aftermath.

The event began with a rocket launching from Dusty Depot, similar to the Season 4 event Blast Off. It headed straight into a rift in the sky, where other rifts began to activate. The other rifts brought more rockets through. They appeared to fly aimlessly before all seven rockets flew into one rift before flying near the Frozen Meteor.

After flying around more, they stopped behind the Frozen Meteor and created a rift in front of it. All of the rockets collided with this rift multiple times before the meteor unfroze and crashed into the rift. A rift emerged above Loot Lake, with only one rocket appearing. It aimed a laser at The Zero Point, before crashing into it.

After this, a shockwave caused all players to float endlessly. The meteor appeared above and crashed into the Zero Point, breaking the bubble surrounding it and causing another shockwave that pushed players further away. A vortex appeared, pulling everything and everyone into it. As the player was sucked in, the screen went black, with a small black hole appearing on the screen.

For almost two days after, the Black Hole occupied the thoughts of many gamers. Many Fortnite players were worried that this meant the end of the hit game, with news outlets covering the aftermath. Even all of the Fortnite social media accounts were blacked out during this downtime.

On October 15, 2019, The Zero Point reformed and rearranged the beloved Fortnite Island, creating two new islands, Artemis and Apollo. Fortnite Chapter 2 mostly took place on Apollo Island.

Live at Risky

Fortnite Events Live at Risky Reels

This event was a Star Wars event for the upcoming release of The Rise of Skywalker movie, the ninth mainline Star Wars film, and the third in the sequel trilogy.

Players got the chance to see a scene from the movie before the release, alongside picking their favorite Lightsaber color and getting to wield it for a few moments after the event technically ended. Fortnite fans also got to witness the Millennium Falcon and TIE Fighters flying in-game, as well as hear Emperor Palpatine over a threatening broadcast.

Travis Scott’s Astronomical

Fortnite Live Event Travis Scott Astronomical

The second concert in Fortnite featured Travis Scott, with the rapper bringing a unique experience to the Battle Royale game.

The concert featured a few of Travis Scott’s most popular songs, including hits like SICKO MODE and goosebumps.

The whole event also referenced previous Fortnite live events, such as The Final Showdown and Blast Off. Interestingly enough, players saw the Island for both chapters during the final part of the event.

The Device

Fortnite All Events Ever The Device

The Device was the first major story live event for Fortnite since the beginning of Chapter 2.

Four towers emerged from the water around The Agency POI, while sirens blared. The Agency exploded, with a shining white light emitting from the center. The Device rose up, with the orb rising above it and expanding. The towers powered up The Device, where it started to push back against The Storm.

As The Storm closed in, as it does in normal Fortnite matches, The Device repelled it, seemingly stopping The Storm. However, The Storm created The Wall of Water, which became the storm for a few days before it collapsed and flooded most of the Island.

The Devourer of Worlds

All Fortnite Events in Order The Devourer of Worlds

Chapter 2 Season 4, deemed the Marvel Season by many fans for its direct ties with Marvel, came to a head with The Devourer of Worlds live event.

After months of anticipation, Galactus finally arrived at the Fortnite Island. All players began on the Helicarrier, which was the spawn island during the season before Galactus hit it, causing the crash. The player was then saved by Iron Man. Galactus attempted to extract The Zero Point, but it fought back, which caused everything to be sucked in once again.

Instead of a black hole similar to The End, players were taken to the inside of a Battle Bus in The In-Between. It was revealed that Iron Man hacked the time loop and has cloned the Battle Bus millions of times, arming them with a powerful bomb and cannons too.

Players were tasked with shooting the drones that Galactus has brought, as the Battle Bus flew toward Galactus. After some help from Wolverine and Thor, Galactus devoured the Battle Buses, before they exploded and defeated him, which caused the creation of another rift. Players were then taken to a cutscene of Agent Jones in the office of The Device, waking from a nightmare before cutting to a To Be Continued screen.

Zero Crisis Finale

Fortnite All Events Zero Crisis Finale

The Zero Crisis Finale was the first solo live event, where players were on a mission with Agent Jones to help save reality itself.

The Foundation, one of The Seven, flew to the unstable Zero Point and went inside, which caused reality to start breaking apart.

Jones started to close portals, but The Foundation told both Jones and the player to watch out for reality waves, which could change anything in a single moment. The player then used the Portal Device to close these tears in reality, as Jones was turned into a rift butterfly.

As the player closed the last tear, a giant flower blossomed in the sky from The Zero Point. However, it went wrong, and The Foundation created a tower of stone up to The Zero Point. Jones teleported himself and the player to the bottom of the tower, as the player ran to the top.

When they reached the top, the player was pushed off and made to float. Jones returned to normal, and The Foundation told Jones that he needs to overload The Device to seal The Zero Point. Unfortunately, that meant he was trapped in the loop.

The Foundation sealed himself in The Zero Point, and The Spire became a POI for Season 6. Jones was trapped in the loop.

Rift Tour

Fortnite All Events Rift Tour with Ariana Grande

The Rift Tour, featuring Ariana Grande, was the third concert for Fortnite. However, it actually links into the lore and story of the game directly.

The concert also featured other songs from other artists, where players were taken through phases with different sceneries and some events from Fortnite’s history.

When seeing past events from Fortnite, it was actually The Last Reality scanning players’ brains to see the history of the Island, and to learn more about The Zero Point.

Operation: Sky Fire

Fortnite All Events Operation Sky Fire

Just before the event, the Mothership was seen abducting various fragments of the Fortnite Island. Doctor Sloane had planted bombs, in the hopes that the Mothership would be destroyed when the bombs detonated.

Players were then abducted too, waking up in holding cells and armed with special backpacks. Doctor Sloane activated these, using them to hack open the cell doors. Then, Doctor Sloane promised to help the players escape the Mothership, as they headed through the Mothership and avoided alien patrols.

Players found a room, where they could see the chunks of the Island armed with the bombs. A few moments later, The Cube emerged from a purple liquid on the floor. Doctor Sloane was surprised, as she thought it was destroyed earlier in Season 6. The Cube emitted powerful blasts, but the backpacks became weaponized and were able to disable The Cube.

The bombs are then armed, with Doctor Sloane thanking the players for their help, but she then betrayed them by saying she won’t let them leave the ship, in the hopes that The Cube would also be destroyed. However, the players found out that they could disable and reboot The Cube, which caused it to turn blue, and helped the platform become an elevator.

After the player saw a room full of Corruption Cubes, the Mothership exploded, which caused players fall from the sky. Plenty of Corruption Cubes fell onto the Island, along with debris and the rebooted blue cube. The event ended with the Island seeing mass destruction.

The End (Chapter 2)

All Fortnite Events in History The End Chapter 2

The rebooted Cube formed a shield before the event, protecting the players, as waves of Cube Monsters started to attack the fort. As the countdown to the event concluded, The Cube Queen fired a beam of energy into the sky, creating a rift to The Last Reality. While they peeked into the rift, players saw hundreds of motherships, as a huge ship sent waves of Saucers at the player.

After a difficult battle, a Saucer zapped the rebooted Cube, destroying it. Next, a cutscene inside the Imagined Order’s base showed players that Sloane was about to execute Jones before The Foundation saved him. The Foundation, taking off his mask, revealed himself as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, before he trapped Sloane inside the cell that Jones was in.

As this happens, the players entered a bunker near the fort with the help of The Visitor and The Scientist, another two members of The Seven. They reached the epicenter of the Fortnite Island, until a large Cube Monster known as a Caretaker smashed the skylight, causing players to emerge far from the Island.

When players see the Fortnite Island, it was being tilted. As it reached 90 degrees, The Cube Queen teleported away as the rift closes, and any remaining Saucers were destroyed by the Islands descent. This impact also caused a megatsunami, that hit the player and knocked them unconscious. If the player tried to log in to Fortnite during this downtime, they found their character floating in the ocean, as they were at the end of the event.

After a shorter downtime than Chapter 1’s The End live event, players would play Fortnite at the start of Chapter 3.

Collision

Fortnite Collision Event

The first major live event for Chapter 3 was Collision, which saw the return of the Mecha Team Leader from The Final Showdown event.

Players were taken to The Ice Moon before the event began, inside the Mecha Team Leader. Then, they were then tasked with handling the turrets, as The Paradigm piloted the Mech.

The Mech flew towards Reality Zero, while players shot down any asteroids that could cause damage. Then it then landed at Synapse Station, being greeted by a large amount of Imagined Order forces such as tanks.

As the Mech continued toward The Collider, it was hit by missiles from Imagined Order airships, heavily damaging it. Fortunately, Peely arrived in a Slurp truck, with the Mech picking it up and crushing it, which healed Mecha Team Leader.

Just before the Mecha Team Leader could destroy The Collider, the ground collapsed beneath it. Jones arrived, helping the players get out of the Mech and head upwards as The Paradigm attempted to reboot the Mech. Sloane arrived in a tank, before the Mech crushed it with it’s fist, seemingly defeating Sloane.

After that, The Paradigm helped lift the players up. While Jones and The Foundation hop into The Zero Point, the player shots and destroyed crystal detonators, and The Zero Points fell back down, and The Paradigm protected the players as The Collider collapsed.

The Foundation and Jones then fist bumped as they fell into the new reality.

That’s every single Fortnite live event so far, but there will be plenty more as Fortnite’s story progresses. Check back with news on any upcoming live events, or if you miss any in the future!
