Since its launch, Marvel's Avengers has mainly relied on original skins created by Crystal Dynamics or based on famous comic book designs. However, fans have wanted skins based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe designs before the game was ever released.
Over time, Crystal Dynamics has added MCU-inspired skins to the game for purchase in the marketplace. While they all replicate their movie counterparts rather well with some being just as beautiful, others are just as lackluster as they are in the MCU.
10 Endgame Black Widow
It's advertised that this is Black Widow's design from Avengers: Endgame. While that costume in that particular film is well-made and designed, the problem is that it is a normal Black Widow design.
As a result, when it was translated to Marvel's Avengers, it looks nearly identical to a majority of other Black Widow skins already in the game. Minute details aren't enough to warrant the $15 price for a skin that looks so close to Black Widow's base skin that fans are given.
9 Endgame Hawkeye
Hawkeye has yet to establish a definitive look in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to begin with. This is something that Marvel's Avengers excelled at, creating a semi-realistic version of his classic and Old Man Hawkeye designs from the comics.
Hawkeye's MCU skin also comes from Avengers: Endgame when he was acting as Ronin. Sadly, the video game version remains unmasked while the rest of the suit is simply a dark uniform. Not much stands out, and it even comes across as a watered-down version of Crystal Dynamics' Ronin skins.
8 The Avengers' Captain America
The second MCU skin for Captain America, based on the suit Chris Evans wore in The Avengers. While this costume was effective in bringing Captain America to a modern era, most fans agreed that it was one of the weakest of the MCU Captain America costumes.
It translates rather well to Marvel's Avengers, and those that really want this suit will likely enjoy it. Otherwise, it comes off less as a super-soldier uniform and more akin to a classic superhero in spandex. As a bonus, the suit does manage to fit the character model in Marvel's Avengers better, looking less slimming and skin tight.
7 Endgame Thor
At first, this skin was slightly controversial. While it does translate the black armor and scale mail to Marvel's Avengers' version of Thor effectively, fans were hoping for the character model to look overweight and Viking-like, similar to how Chris Hemsworth looked in the Avengers: Endgame climax.
That said, the Endgame design is actually more akin to how Chris Hemsworth looked in Avengers: Infinity War. From the short hair to the thicker beard and the overall design of the black armor.
6 Endgame Iron Man
Hearkening back to Iron Man's design in older Marvel comics, Tony Stark's final suit in the MCU was visually stunning in Avengers: Endgame. Iron Man already features some of the most detailed suits in Marvel's Avengers so it is no surprise that the Endgame suit translated so well.
Unlike other MCU skins, this one manages to stand out in the large array of suits featured in the game already, while fitting right in as a well-design skin. Fans of Iron Man will likely enjoy this suit despite the $15 price. This same suit also made an appearance as one of many Marvel skins in Fortnite.
5 Endgame Hulk
Out of all the characters in Marvel's Avengers, Hulk suffers from having the least interesting options for skins. The majority of his are either a little too cartoonish or they are the same acceptable skins but recolored. There are a lot of potential options for the Hulk's design, but the game doesn't take advantage.
However, the first MCU skin helped deliver what fans had been requesting: more interesting clothes for the Hulk. Not only does the Endgame style deliver a full-body suit that effectively gives Hulk a unique design but it keeps his iconic purple color scheme.
4 Marvel Studios' Black Panther
In the Black Panther solo film, King T'Challa was given an upgraded suit with a new design. The overall consensus is that while this suit design was great and effective in many ways, it lacked compared to the suit that he wore in Captain America: Civil War.
So fans were still happy to see the solo film suit appear after Black Panther was added to Marvel's Avengers. Many fans bought the skin to honor the passing of Chadwick Boseman, especially with the "Wakanda Forever" emote also added to the game. The high fidelity of the graphics shows off the surprising amount of detail in the suit straight out of the movie.
3 Snowsuit Black Widow
In promotion for Black Widow, Marvel's Avengers added the white suit which Natasha Romanoff wears in the latter half of the film. Much like how the suit was a breath of fresh air for the films, it is also one for Marvel's Avengers.
The majority of Black Widow's skins are well-designed but tend to stick to rather dark colors: usually black and/or red. The snowsuit stands out for having a surprising amount of detail but also featuring a bright color scheme that helps it pop both on film and while tackling great campaign missions in Marvel's Avengers.
2 Civil War Black Panther
Black Panther himself and his kind are reasons why the War For Wakanda expansion is worth returning for. As mentioned prior, fans overall love both looks for Black Panther but many were requesting for the Civil War suit for a reason.
This is the newest MCU-inspired skin which mixes a very comic book accurate design with chrome armor plates in the cowl and suit, along with a perfect color scheme. The cowl is more angular and the overall look combined with the kinetic energy effects in the game help enhance the style.
1 Endgame Captain America
Captain America has a lot of different designs across the movies, but the suit he was given in Avengers: Age Of Ultron has become the definitive MCU suit. It returned in Captain America: Civil War and, of course, Avengers: Endgame.
It translates perfectly into the game because much like the Crystal Dynamics' skins, the Endgame skin hits that perfect balance of looking straight out of a comic but having enough realism added to look like something a super-soldier would wear. All of the details shown in the films are all in the game version and it looks great.
