All the new weapons that have been added or reintroduced into Battle Royale, Fortnite Season 3, and where players can find them within the map.
Fortnite Chapter 3 was undoubtedly one of the best seasons yet, and one of the main reasons is a whole new range of weapons for players to discover. However, with all these new weapons Fortnite also granted players an entirely new map, as the old one has now been flipped and is deep under the water below.
Epic Games gave quite the show with the in-game event leading up to the new chapter and the iconic de-masking of The Foundation, in which players were revealed The Rock was the one hiding behind the mask all along. The new weapons in Fortnite have a massive variety with everything from shotguns, AKs and just recently added the return of the bows.
At the beginning of this Fortnite season, players quickly let Epic Games know just how overpowered some of these weapons were and begged them to be buffed. Even more exciting is that one of these new weapons was made by The Seven, using their technology.
Fortnite's Chapter 3 Weapons
- Ranger Assault Rifle: This new weapon is coming in as the new default AR in Fortnite Battle Royale. Built for medium attacks but is also suitable for more long-range firing too.
- MK-7 Assault Rifle: A weapon that has the story behind it of being built by The Seven, containing their unique technology. This weapon 7 brought a lot of excitement to Fortnite players as it has a distinctive feature never seen before in Battle Royale. A first-person red dot firing scope will show when aiming down sites, giving an all-new combat experience for Fortnite players.
- Striker Pump Shotgun: This weapon is coming in as the re-invented pump shotgun. Thanks to its many pellets, this gun will do high burst damage.
- Auto Shotgun: The automatic shotgun does not deal as much damage as players' other options for shotguns in Fortnite. However, it does grant some tremendous firepower and reloads two shells at a time. Due to this feature, this gun gives an advantage over the pump in close combat, as it will be easier to sneak in a shot while the enemy is reloading.
- Sidearm Pistol: This pistol is an excellent gun for hitting those high damage headshots at close range. Most players may avoid pistols, however, during early game, this may be a gun to consider picking up if it's available when hitting the ground after jumping out the Battle Bus.
- Stinger SMG: There is nothing not to love about a high damage SMG with an incredibly speedy fire rate. This gun is great for spraying enemies and breaking through builds to give that window to hit a perfect shot with a shotgun and get the kill.
- Hunter Bolt Action Sniper: This gun is the only new sniper added to Fortnite Battle Royale, shooting three bullets per clip. This is an excellent feature for a sniper as if players miss their first shot, they can have two more tries before losing sight of the enemy while reloading.
- Bows: In Fortnite's recent update, the many varieties of bows have been added back into the game. These include mechanical explosive bows, mechanical shockwave bows, primal flame bows, and primal stink bows. These can hold up to 31 arrows and grant players unique combat options, and thankfully they do not have to be crafted with parts, as they did in previous seasons.
- Machine Pistol: This pistol is very similar to an SMG. The gun offers a fast fire rate, which will be great for intimidating enemy players early in the game while they are still looting up.
As bows will only be in the game for one week, it's a good idea for players to chase down the challenges around them. Bownanza Week is granting players six quests to complete during this time, and we can only assume in the upcoming weeks that more weapons will be un-vaulted for these special events with the Fortnite Battle Royale map.
