At number 10, an original skin in Fortnite made our list as one of the most expensive skins in the game. The Sparkle Specialist skin is a featured skin in Fortnite’s Season 1 Chapter 2 Battle Pass and can only be unlocked at Tier 56. As of today, this skin joins the list of the rarest skins in Fortnite.

Judging by its features, the Sparkle Specialist is one of the first disco-themed skins in Fortnite which happens to be part of the Fortnite Fever set. The set also comes with other fantastic outfits like Sparkle Supreme, Funks Ops, and Disco Diva, plus the Sparkle Strider glider equipment.

Today, if you’re looking to purchase the Sparkle Specialist skin, you might want to check your pockets as this will surely be a pricy in-game addition.

In case you’ve missed it, one rare and epic Fortnite skin was made available again just last month, June 15. On average, the Recon Expert skin comes back in the item shop every 100 days, so we’re going to expect it will be dropped again this September.

While there’s nothing much to this skin, it definitely is one of the rarest skins in the game. It also happens to be not that expensive, but still, it costs around 1,200 V-Bucks, more than what the average skins cost in Fortnite.

Price: 1,200 V-Bucks

8. Skull Trooper

OG Fortnite players flex their status in the game whenever they go out wearing the Skull Trooper skin. Senior players often increase their popularity by just showing up in this traditional Halloween costume – a skeletal structure outline in an outfit. It’s not the best skin in the game, but it is for sure one of the rarest and most amazing outfits. Also, Skull Trooper comes out every Halloween as part of the terrifying celebration in Fortnite.

Other variants of Skull Trooper:

  • Purple Variant
  • Green Variant
  • Gilded Variant

Subsequently, Skull Trooper skin is part of the Skull Squad that has similar outfits like Yule Trooper (Christmas), Fish Skull, Skull Squad Leader, and Bone Boss.

Price: 1,500 V-Bucks

7. Ghoul Trooper

Every year since its release, the Ghoul Trooper skin graces us with its presence for a slightly huge price of 1,500 V-bucks. Since 2017, Ghoul Trooper returns to the item shop from around October to November, probably because of the Halloween event.

This skin is one of the original skins in-game as similar to the Skull Trooper skin, it was added in Chapter 1 Season 1. In addition, this epic skin has three styles:

  • Ghoul Trooper Zombie Style
  • “OG” Ghoul Trooper Pink Style
  • And, the Default variant, the Aqua Blue Female Skin

Price: 1500 V-Bucks

6. Astro Jack

Do I hear Travis Scott in the back? Thought so.

The Astro Jack outfit was last seen in 2020, during the release of the Travis Scott set. It hasn’t been in the item shop for a long time now. As a result, this skin has now become a rare item in Fortnite.

Different from other skins on this list, you don’t need to take part in promotional releases or crossover events. Instead, you are just going to have to spend a lot of V-bucks in exchange for this Travis Scott-inspired skin. The Astro Jack first came into Fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 2, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

There’s no denying that the Spider Rogue Knight and Arachne outfits are one of the rarest and most expensive skins in Fortnite. Both of these are part of the Xbox One S console promotion. Additionally, these outfits are part of a bundle called the Arachnid Set which includes a Hatchling(glider) and Web Breaker(harvesting tool).

The Spider Rogue Knight comes in black and green while the Arachne only features one color. Currently, you can get your hands on this skin by shelling out a hefty amount of V-bucks, probably around 2000 worth of in-game currencies.

4. Black Knight

The priciest Fortnite skin in terms of V-bucks pricing is probably one of the original skins in Fortnite, the Black Knight skin. It was released in December 2017, in the middle of Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 2. Black Knight Skin is part of the Fort Knights set which featured skins like Red Knight, Ultima Knight, Blue Squire, and Royale Knight. Back in the day, you can only obtain the Black Knight Skin via the Battle Pass which could be unlocked at Tier 70.

OG players often become instant celebrities in the game whenever they show up with the Black Knight outfit. It’s a legendary skin so rare that you’re only going to get to see the pioneers use them.

Price: 4,000 V-Bucks

3. Royale Bomber

The Royale Bomber skin is an epic-level skin that is a promotional release. In July of 2019, Royale Bomber was added in Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 4 as part of the PlayStation 4 Bundle promotion. In line with that, this skin is one of the most expensive in the game as you can only collect this skin by purchasing the PS4 Fortnite Bundle.

As of today, this skin is already part of history as the promotion has already concluded a long time ago. As an extremely rare skin, you might get your hands on this outfit from a seller but at a higher price.

Price: $500

2. Honor Guard

Honor Guard skin came into fruition in Fortnite’s Chapter 1 Season 7. During that time, this skin was released as part of the promotion for the HONOR View20 tablet released in 2019. Honor, which is a part of the Chinese mobile manufacturer, Huawei, made a partnership with Fortnite in that same season. What makes this Skin one of the most expensive items in the game is that you have to purchase the Honor View20 phone. The android phone costs around $500 – $650 after being released.

This scheme is very similar to what Samsung did in Season 5, which birthed possibly the most expensive skin in Fortnite and our number 1 pick on this list.

Price: $650

1. Galaxy

Technically, you won’t be shelling out a lot of V-bucks for the Galaxy Skin since you won’t be needing that currency. Instead, as a requirement to obtain this breathtaking skin, you need to have either a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or Galaxy Tab S4.

Back in Chapter 1 Season 5, in a crossover between Fortnite and Samsung, Epic Games released a galactic-man embedded skin – Galaxy. To participate, you must play Fortnite on either of the two devices mentioned above. In 2018, the price range of these devices ranged from $900 – $1250 (for Galaxy Note 9) and $650 (for the Galaxy Tab S4).

Samsung users then were able to exclusively get their hands on this amazing bundle, which includes a back bling, a glider, and a harvesting tool.

Price: $900

In other news, Fortnite could be having another possible crossover with the beloved Japanese anime series, Dragon Ball Z.

According to a post by Shiina, a trusted Fortnite leaker, Fortnite could be in a future collaboration with Goku and the whole Dragon Ball Z universe. While these are just rumors, some subtle hints have surfaced online about the addition of this newest crossover.

FORTNITE X DRAGON BALL

Last year, I was made aware of a possible Dragon Ball collaboration in Fortnite, but until today, there hasn't been much news about it, so I thought it was canceled.

According to various sources, the Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z crossover could possibly be released around August of this year. There are rumors that the collaboration will be part of the promotion of the new Dragon Ball movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. The movie is set to be released on August 19. Similar to previous crossovers, the Dragon Ball Z bundle may come days before the official launch of the movie.

There is no official announcement regarding this rumor yet, but be sure to be on the lookout!
