Leo Benjamin Ferrazzo was dropped off by Santa and his reindeer on Christmas Eve 2015. We could not have asked for a better Christmas gift. One look into his big, brown eyes was all it took to fall in love with him. Sadly, Leo passed away unexpectedly in the hospital on 6/15/2022 surrounded by his parents. He is survived by his parents, Katie Cheney and Nico Ferrazzo; step-parents Mackenzie Cheney and Megan Ferrazzo; siblings, Chance, Vinny, Domenic, Eli, Atley, and Eliza; grandparents, James (Sheilagh), Tammy (Jonathan), Dana (Rodney), Dan (Beth), John, Dolores, Raeann, and Jeff (Beth); Aunts/Uncles, Brian (Denise), Chris, Breanna (Dan), Patrick, Michael, Shawn (Yamile), Adam (Angela), Adam C., Taylor (Mitch), and Aaron (Susan); pets, Mushu and Quillbus Dumbledore; and many cousins, extended family, and friends.
Leo attended kindergarten at Madison Elementary School in Blaine, and was a friend to all. Despite the obstacle of having multiple food allergies, our baby boy was brave, smart, kind, silly, and the best advocate for himself. We will always be grateful to his forever teacher, Mrs. Tiffany Delong, who always ensured that he'd have his own “Leo safe treats” when celebrating special occasions at school. We knew that her classroom would always be a safe place for him, which put our minds at ease. Leo's goal in kindergarten was to learn how to read, and he exceeded all expectations by the time the school year ended. He graduated kindergarten from his hospital bed on 6/9/2022. He was excited to go into 1st grade so he could “learn hard meth (math).” He didn't have a chance to complete his Summer Bucket list, which included going to Sky Zone and the beach. When asked the question “who is someone you want to see over the break,” he replied “chickens.” Chickens, wiener dogs, and foxes were his favorite animals. Due to allergies he was unable to have pets other than his bearded dragon and hedgehog, so he would be so excited to know that his family now owns multiple chickens and there is a wiener dog at each of his houses. Leo's bucket list will be completed by his parents and siblings.
Our sweet boy spent his days playing Fortnite, collecting Pokemon cards, reading Dogman books, having Nerf fights with friends, and playing with his 6 siblings. He also enjoyed disc golf, gymnastics, wrestling, and swimming lessons. Leo had big dreams of becoming a cheerleading, bottle flipping, Youtubing policeman. His six years were filled with memories of spending time at his family cabin, and going on vacations to Florida and Mexico. In the summer of 2021 he “married” his neighbor, Daisy. She was his first kiss, baby (doll) mama, and best friend. He was able to accomplish so much in his short six years. He will be forever loved, always missed, and never forgotten.
Leo,
We miss you more than you could ever know. You have made all of us so proud and we feel so lucky to be your parents. You were the sweetest boy and could make us smile even on our worst days. Those days were nothing compared to the ones we've had since you passed away. All of us agree that we will forever “hate this day” since we have to live without you here. We hope you're “ya know, just pooping in your pants, hanging out,” and having endless screen time. We love you to the moon and back.
Love you gnite. Love you gnite. Love you gnite. Love you gnite.
