Bungie, the developers of Destiny 2, had a big livestreamed showcase today to finally reveal the next major expansion for the live-service first-person shooter, Lightfall. Of course, other details about Destiny 2 were shared, like info on the 18th season, Season of the Plunder, and a collab with Fortnite that's been rumored for some days now.
How to Get Fortnite's Destiny Skins
The official Fortnite x Destiny 2 collaboration brings three characters from Bungie's shooter into Epic Games' battle royale title. Commander Zavala, Ikora Rey, and the Exo Stranger will be up for grabs in the Fortnite Item Shop starting August 23, 2022, at 8 PM ET / 7 PM CT / 6 PM MT / 5 PM PT. No pricing details have been revealed just yet, but players should expect to spend a good chunk of change if they want all the available outfits.
The Commander Zavala outfit in Fortnite will be available with the listed cosmetic items:
- Targe Back Bling: Commander Zavala's Ghost (Included with the Commander Zavala Outfit)
- Crown-Splitter Pickaxe
- Sparrow Glider: Comes with the Zavala Shader Style
Destiny's Ikora Rey will have these items available for purchase, too:
- Ophiuchus Back Bling: Ikora Rey’s Ghost. (Included with the Ikora Rey Outfit.)
- Black Talon Pickaxe
- Sparrow Glider: Comes with the Ikora Shader Style
And last but not least, Exo Stranger:
- Pouka Back Bling: The Exo Stranger's companion. (Included with the Exo Stranger Outfit.)
- The Lament Pickaxe
- Sparrow Glider: Comes with the Exo Stranger Shader Style
Players can also get the Investigate Emote from the Item Shop, and it makes a Ghost appear that scans the area.
Javelin-4 Map

Once players purchase any of the Destiny skins, they can take their character to a Fortnite version of Javelin-4, made entirely by team PWR. The map is called Guardian Zone Control: Javelin-4, and players can find it by heading to the Discover screen by pressing the Change button in the lobby or by inputting this Island Code: 0642-9767-7225.
When playing Guardian Zone Control, players will need to take control of certain points on the map, and the more areas that are taken over, the more points a team will earn for taking out opponents.
Fortnite is available now on some Mobile devices, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
