Fortnite: 10 Best Drop Locations For Chapter 3 Season 4

The newly released chapter three of Fortnite season four brought new locations on the map, meaning there's a new vantage system to relearn. Everyone knows not to land in Tilted Towers or Rocky Reels because, unless you're incredibly quick and lucky, you're bound to be among the first few deaths.

Collecting weapons and shields are also tricky since many players tend to drop here. So, whether playing it wholly safe or taking a bit of a risk, there are certain places on chapter three's map that will give you an instantaneous advantage. You just have to know where to look.

10/10 The Cliffs Between Rocky Reels And Cloudy Condos

Between Rocky Reels and Cloudy Condos lies a set of cliffs with houses and caravans. These structures always have decent loot inside, and you're sure to find at least one chest giving you all you need to start.

It is a little dangerous going here first because of its map placement, but you'll be good if you're fast and no one else has beaten you there. You'll also be able to make a quick landing here as it's quite far off the ground and is easy to spot from above.

9/10 House Next To Chonker's Speedway

Still in the vein of risky territory is a house next to Chonker's Speedway. It isn't easy to spot until zooming in on the map but do so, and you'll have your target. Houses are always a fantastic place to start when gathering shields, health items, and at least semi-useful weapons. And since it's directly next to the speedway, you can move on over there and grab a quick escape in a vehicle right after.

There's also a bit of coverage if playing on zero build and many walls you can use to get out of sight. It isn't the safest landing point, but it has its incentives.

8/10 The Chop Shop Near Logjam Junction

At the very top of the map near Logjam Junction is a building called the Chop Shop with NPC Kyle inside. You can buy a few things from Kyle, which makes it worth landing there, and there are always a few chests and items to pick up that'll get you armed in no time.

The Chop Shop is at the very edge of the map, so you'll have to be quick with your search and have a set exit plan in case others land near your location. Do all this, though, and you'll bag a good few kills.

7/10 The Lighthouse

The lighthouse has been a sweet little hideaway since chapter two, placed directly next to Sleepy Sound. It's a great place to land for all kinds of reasons. From the top of the lighthouse, there's a vantage point to aim with a sniper or DMR.

On one side of the lighthouse, there's an entire area filled with chests, weapons, shields, and more, and on the other side is a zipline to make a speedy escape if all starts going downhill. Depending on what side the battle bus comes from, you can also be one of the very first to land as it's again teetering on the far side of the map.

6/10 The Rave Cave

Though you'll never be able to replicate the experience of your first landing at the Rave Cave, you can still use the building to gain a serious advantage for the later stages of the match. To make the most of this, you'll want to know the ins and outs of the cave, all the exits, where chests usually pop up, where any NPCs are, and all the best places to take cover.

Since the initial hype of the cave has died down, players rarely drop at this location, giving you a perfect chance to drop there yourself.

5/10 Lustrous Lagoon

If players want to see enemy footsteps in fortnite season 5, there are a few things that are required first. Set the default playback device. Chests are scattered throughout the map.

Heading to Lustrous Lagoon immediately sounds like a terrible plan, and it might turn out that way, but if you're lucky, it can give you a significant edge. Everything you want is here; if you can name it, it's there. There's also a decent amount of cover with the surrounding water and steep rocks to hide under and behind.

The lagoon is a busy spot, but even if you choose to land elsewhere, it'll still help to go there later in the match.

4/10 Edge Of The Map Near Greasy Grove

Surprise, it's another edge of the map landmark. This time it's one located near Greasy Grove. The particular island is difficult to spot, and it's also unlikely you'll find it without planning on going there, so you'll be the first to all the loot.

Here you'll find slurp barrels, chests, and sometimes weapons near the coastline, well worth picking up even if they are common and uncommon rarity. After searching here, it's only a short trip to Greasy Grove and the Reality Tree, both of which tend to become less populated as the player count thins out.

3/10 Reality Tree

It's always tricky to foresee if the Reality Tree will be extremely busy or not, as it differs significantly from match to match. You could land at this area five times in a row with barely anyone landing too, and then the next game, you're knocked down because five players gang up on you. It's always a little risky to land here, but the towering trees and how far the place stretches out at least give you space to move about and hide.

You'll also gain some excellent loot here as there are always many chests. You're bound to find good protection.

2/10 Bridge Next To Shifty Shafts

The best part of this landing spot is the Whiplash that usually spawns there; you'll want nothing more than a getaway car once you've finished looting. The bridge will have chests, slurp barrels, weapons, and ammo everywhere, so start from the bottom and work your way to the top.

Suppose you hear another player coming, crouch down inside the bridge, and get your weapon ready. It's difficult to see if someone is already there, so you'll have a stealth advantage. And since the bridge is directly above the river, you have easy access to the nearby landmarks and a solid escape plan.

1/10 Structures Near Fort Jonesy

The space next to Fort Jonesy is ridiculously populated with loot and fantastic places for cover. It's hidden away with clustered trees and two huge landmarks nearby, making it the ideal place to land. For everyone else landing in the same area, they'll be going closer to those two landmarks, especially since this particular corner of the map looks empty.

There are small wooden structures similar to those found by the water near Coney Crossroads, and shields have a high drop rate here. You probably won't be getting the best weapons at these structures, but you'll have enough to get you going, keep your defenses up, and you won't have to worry about moving too far to get out of the storm's reach.
