Fortnite has just delivered the last of the major Fortnitemares. The last two updates have been pretty significant and loaded in content and 18.30 was absolutely no different.
This will lead us nicely into the story of Season 8 so you won't want to miss this update.

Downtime is over and servers are once again live following Fortnite Update 18.30!

Cube Endgame Revealed
The Cube movement storyline that has been ongoing throughout Season 8 appears to be heading for something HUGE.
A leak now shows that the Cubes will form a giant PYRAMID and we will have to visit this location/POI to complete a Cube Queen related quest.
Mechs are making their return!
In what was already a bumper update, we now have a look at the brand new Mechs which are coming to the island soon.
They're believed to be playing a role in the end of season event due in a few weeks time.
5 New NPCs Coming
A reveal of the quests being added in Fortnite Update 18.30 reveals 5 unspecified new NPCs are coming to the game.
We also get a better look at some quests related to the Cube Queen which will reward us with new cosmetics!
The *Redacted* Bunker has OPENED
We did say this update would bring some huge changes! We've been waiting for years for the REDACTED bunker to open and it finally has!
Fron the video you can see it appears to be another IO base but we can't wait to see what's inside properly once servers are live again.
Shadow Midas Decrypted
Leakers have now confirmed that Shadow Midas will be added to the game as part of Update 18.30.
He has been revealed as part of a wider cosmetics dump which gives us a look at some of the upcoming skins and items being added to the game. H/T to @ShiinaBR for finding these.
Download Sizes Revealed
As expected, the download size for Fortnite Update 18.30 isn't anything too drastic. The largest file is that on PS4 coming in at 4.2GB.
Servers are DOWN - Info already Leaked
Servers are now down for Fortnite Update 18.30 and we have an early indication of something going live in this update.
The next funding effort will be going live asking players to choose between the Combat Shotgun and the Boogie Bomb... Which one will you choose?
Fortnite Update 18.30 Release & Server Downtime
Fortnite Update 18.30 will go live on Tuesday, 26 October. Servers will go down at the usual time of 09:00 BST / 04:00 EST / 01:00 PST unless we are informed otherwise. Matchmaking will be disabled around 30 minutes before the downtime occurs.
Like last week, we are unsure of how large the update is but expect it to be bigger than last week. Dowload sizes aren't expected to surpass 5GB across all platforms but once the information is available we'll be sure to update you with the accurate findings.
What to expect
This Fortnite Update is likely to be centred around the remaining Fortnitemares content and everything needed to close out the event. While no in-game event has been announced, many players believe that something will be set up soon.

The common theory is a large scale battle against the Cube Queen at The Convergence will lead to her becoming unlocked as part of the battle pass' special tiers.
There are sure to be some surprises in store for the community too just like the release of the S.T.A.R.S Resident Evil bundle which was only leaked around one hour before going live in the item store.
