The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories overhauls the entire wedding experience including the most tasty part, cake. There are nine new types of cake to choose from, although you can also use any of the existing cakes in game as a cheap alternative. Sims who want the very best can taste and purchase all the new cakes at the patisserie stand in the Porto Luminoso neighbourhood in Tartosa. Alternatively, you can order them via the computer, or even cook your own with the gourmet cooking skill.

9 Cupcake Wedding Cake Displays

The cupcake displays are the simplest and cheapest option of the new cake types, yet they still look stunning. They comprise a single layered cake on a stand with cupcakes arranged artfully around it on a box display. There are three types in total and each one has a different interior.
The rainbow design cake is white on the outside but when cut the sponge is a rainbow. The brown and cream design has brown highlights and is a chocolate cake once cut, while the blue ombre design is a regular white cake inside.
8 Floral Wedding Cakes

Cost: $150
There are eight floral cake designs in total and the exteriors fall into three categories; white cakes with pastel flowers, naked cakes with pastel flowers, and bold designs. This allows you to match your wedding colour pallette with ease. There are also several interior differences between the floral cakes, offering more unique looking slices if this is your thing.
The red design is a vibrant red velvet cake, while the naked cake with brown roses and the white cake with green roses are both chocolate cake. The other two naked cakes are fruitcake, with the off-white one appearing a little darker in colour. Finally, the rainbow design and blue rose cake are both regular cakes, with the pink rose cake being plain with a layer of jam on top of the buttercream inside.
7 Square Design Round Wedding Cakes

The confusingly named square design round wedding cakes are four-tier creations with a plain base and a coloured square design. Three of the cakes have a white base and the squares are green, purple and rainbow coloured. All of these options contain a light coloured layered cake that appears with more subtle lines than the heavy butter cream in previous options.
The final two options are a black base with white squares and a gold base with black squares. Both of these bolder and darker cakes have the same layer structure but are a brown chocolate cake rather than a regular white version. These cakes are a great budget option if you aren't a fan of flowers and fuss.
6 Heart Wedding Cakes

Cost: $175
There are six heart-shaped wedding cakes and all comprise two tiers of different sized cakes with a small floral design around the edge. Simple yet stylish, three designs are one colour, while the other three have contrasting colours tiers. As far as the interior cakes there are three options; regular white cake, red velvet cake, and chocolate cake. All have a single layer of thick buttercream.
The plain cakes are the designs with large white bottom layers, both the two white hearts and the white and pink hearts. If you prefer red velvet you'll want the red and white design or the two tiers of pink. Finally, the navy blue and grey and white designs are both chocolate cake when cut.
5 Beachy Wedding Cakes

The beachy wedding cake is a unique four-tiered design with seashell motifs and glitter. Each individual cake also appears different inside, making this one of the most variable options. Most interestingly once the cake is cut the top tier vanishes which makes for a nice gameplay touch if you have a tradition of saving the top tier of a wedding cake - although sadly it won't turn up in your fridge.
The blue design is a plain cake with buttercream, while the green design is the same but with a layer of jam. The purple cake is alternating layers of brown and white, while the brown cake is just pure chocolate. Finally, the red cake sees the return of the red velvet design.
4 Square Wedding Cakes

These three-tier square cakes have seven designs comprising both simple and intricate exteriors. They are also unique inside being another example of differing cake interiors.
The bold red design is a regular cake with two layers of jam inside. The white piped cake and the blue ribbon cake are also regular cake but the white design contains jam and buttercream, while the blue one contains chocolate and buttercream layers. Both the black roses cake and the black and gold design are chocolate cake, although only the black rose interior has lines of buttercream. This time it's the white cake with red roses that is red velvet, and the final rainbow design is a three coloured cake, with yellow blue and pink layers.
3 Four-Tiered Round Wedding Cakes

One of the more costly cakes, this four-tier option has quite a limited selection of interior options but makes up for it with a stunning range of exterior designs. This is the most versatile option catering for the simple and intricate to the ornate and unique.
There are four chocolate cake options; the yellow ombre design, white with grey detailing, black and gold and galaxy. The white design with pink detailing is red velvet, while the two drip cake designs have visible jam inside. The final interior design is a simple cake and that appears in the white stencil design, under the sea theme and both ornate cakes.
2 Hexagon Wedding Cakes

Cost: $225
The hexagon cakes are three-tiered designs with hexagon-shaped layers. The six variations are mostly a plain base with detailing and there are a few different interiors.
The white cake with gold top and the black cake with gold detailing are both plain cakes inside. The pink ombre cake is also plain but has an extra jam layer. The black and white cake is dark chocolate, while the black and gold design has white buttercream contrasting the chocolate interior. Finally, the red and gold design is red velvet inside.

Each pillow cake has a unique and patterned two-tier design resembling two pillows stacked up. They all stand on simple patterned cake stands and are the height of unique sophistication.
The white and pink options both contain plain cake, although the pink design hides a layer of jam inside. The brown and blue designs are both chocolate cake, while the red design is red velvet. All the cake slices are uniquely circle on the edges to reflect the shape of the cake.
