Fortnite's Legendary Quests are a timed-limited series of challenges.
During Chapter 2 Season 7, these come in and out of rotation on a weekly basis.
Completing these steps offers a good amount of XP - making them well worth the effort to complete before the next set arrives.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. What's new? Chapter 3 Season 3 has arrived! New additions include Reality Seeds and Saplings and riding animals, along with the new Battle Pass, characters collection and map changes. It's a good idea to know how to get XP fast in Fortnite.

The currently active Legendary Quest steps are as follows:
Legendary Quest Week 14 (September 8th to September 12th)
- Get Slone's orders from aPayphone (1 total)
- WarnCharacters of impending doom (3 total)
- Place warning signs (4 total)
- Shut down power to radar dishes (2 total)
- Spoil the Mole's Sabotage Attempt (1 total)
- Confront the Mole (1 total)
Remember, you only have a week to complete the above steps before they are removed from the game.
Fortnite Legendary Quest reset time: When does the next Legendary Quest go live?
Each Quest chain is time-limited. This means you need to complete the latest set of steps before the timer expires, when a new Quest is introduced.
New Legendary Quests go live on Wednesdays at the following times:
- UK: 3pm (BST)
- Europe: 4pm (CEST)
- East Coast US: 10am (EDT)
- West Coast US: 7am (PDT)
If you have yet to complete the previous week's Legendary Quests, there will be a countdown timer to when they expire - and the next step unlock:
Note these are different to when other things go live in Fortnite - from other challenges to new Alien Artefacts.
Chapter 3 Season 3 has arrived - bringing with it a new Battle Pass, character collection, map locations and Victory Umbrella, along with the return of Victory Crowns. You can now get Indiana Jones skins and cosmetics by completing challenges like collecting relics, damaging opponents in vehicles, and finding the secret door location. It's also good to know how to ride animals, the geyser locations along with where to find a Baller and zipline and use the new Grapple Glove, and if you're after a specific Battle Pass skin, then it's a good idea to know how to get XP fast.
What were the previous Legendary Quests in Fortnite?
As mentioned above, each set of weekly Legendary Quests will expire when the new set arrives. Below is what were previously available in Season 7. To clarify - these quests are no longer in the game, and are not required to have been completed for the latest set to be accessible.
Legendary Quests Week 1 (June 9th to June 16th)
- Converse with Sunny, Abstrkt, Dreamflower, Riot, or Bushranger (3 required)
- Collect Stone from The Aftermath (100 required)
- Collect different IO tech weapons (3 total)
- Interact with Bunker Jonesy's conspiracy board (1 total)
- Place rubber ducks in Retail Row, Pleasant Park, and Believer Beach (3 total)
Legendary Quests Week 2 (June 16th to June 23rd)
- Interact with a dead drop in Weeping Woods (1 total)
- Step onto a body scanner (1 total)
- Converse with Rick Sanchez, Rook, Marigold, Maven or Special Forces (3 total)
- Deal damage with IO tech weapons (200 total)
- Damage an IO guard (1 total)
Legendary Quests Week 3 (June 23rd to June 30th)
- Get Sloane's orders from a Payphone (1 total)
- Converse with Sunny, Joey, or Beach Brutus (1 total)
- Place welcome signs in Pleasant Park and Lazy Lake (4 total)
- Place Boomboxes in Believer Beach (2 total)
- Place alien light communication devices on mountain tops (2 total)
- Collect cat food (2 total)
Legendary Quests Week 4 (June 30th to July 7th)
- Search the farm for clues (2 total)
- Visit Farmer Steel's favourite places (3 total)
- Place missing person signs in Weeping Woods and Misty Meadows (4 total)
- Collect doomsday preppers guide (1 total)
- Forage for food, need supplies (5 total)
Legendary Quests Week 5 (July 7th to July 14th)
- Get Slone orders from a payphone (1 total)
- Interact with a CB radio (1 total)
- Place Welcome Gifts in Holly Hatchery (2 total)
- Deploy Alien Nanites (1 total)
- Dance near Zig and Choppy (1 total)
- Get infected by an Alien Parasite and talk to Sunny (1 total)
Legendary Quests Week 6 (July 14th to July 21st)
- Get Slone orders from a payphone (1 total)
- Place Prepper Supplies in Hayseed's Farm (1 total)
- Deal damage to opponents in farms (Corny Complex or Hayseed's Farm - 25 damage total)
- Use an Inflate-A-Bull (the item has been removed momentarily and this step will autocomplete itself until it's brought back - 1 total)
- Place cow decoys in farms (3 total)
- Damage an alien-driven Saucer (25 damage total)
Legendary Quests Week 7 (July 21st to July 28th)
- Construct a wooden hatchery (1 total)
- Mark an alien egg (1 total)
- Collect records from Pleasant Park or Craggy Cliffs (2 total)
- Stoke campfires near different hatcheries (2 total)
- Collect parenting books from Holly Hatchery or Retail Row (2 total)
Legendary Quests Week 8 (July 28st to August 4th)
- Get Slone's orders from a Payphone (1 total)
- Collect access card from an IO Guard (1 total)
- Plant wiretaps at different key locations (3 total)
- Interact with an IO operative's computer (1 total)
- Mindwipe Bunker Jonesy, Swamp Stalker or Human Bill (1 total)
- Converse with characters to identify an Infiltrator (5 total)
Legendary Quests Week 9 (August 4th to August 11th)
- Get Slone's orders from a Payphone (1 total)
- Equip a Detector, then disable an Alien Billboard in one match (1 total)
- Collect Resources in Holly Hatchery (100 total)
- Eliminate Trespassers (3 total)
- Place a Bioscanner in an Alien Biome (1 total)
- Place Spy Probes (3 total)
Legendary Quests Week 10 (August 11th to August 18th)
- Get Slone's orders from a Payphone (1 total)
- Damage an opponent in the Slurpy Swamp abduction site (1 total)
- Collect a Grab-itron (1 total)
- Place video cameras at different Landing Ship locations (3 total)
- Visit an Abductor (1 total)
- Visit Slurp Factory inside the Mothership (1 total)
Legendary Quests Week 11 (August 18th to August 25th)
- Get Slone's orders from a Payphone (1 total)
- Catch fish at fishing holes (5 total)
- Collect a vintage can of cat food in Catty Corner or Craggy Cliffs (1 total)
- Collect a vase of flowers from Lazy Lake (1 total)
- Harvest wood (250 total)
- Talk to Joey (1 total)
Legendary Quests Week 12 (August 25th to September 1st)
- Get Slone's orders from aPayphone (1 total)
- Craft a weapon with Alien Nanites (1 total)
- Destroy target dummies with IO weapons (4 total)
- Search for books on explosions (2 total)
- Deploy scanners in the Alien Biome (2 total)
- Collect three Alien Devices, then activate the Countermeasure Device underneath Corny Complex (4 total)
Legendary Quests Week 13 (September 1st to September 8th)
- Open mission kit, then place a jammer outside the IO base in one match (1 total in two parts)
- Leave secret documents at a bus stop (1 total)
- Talk with Joey, Sunny or Dreamflower (1 total)
- Leave an IO car at an alien settlement (1 total)
- Deploy pallets with Cat Food around the IO base (2 total)
It's worth noting that there has been an issue regarding Abductor ships (aka UFOs) and Mothership abductions. As a result, developer Epic have turned both of them off. But don't fret - Week 10 legendary quests involving these will be auto-completed for all players with the next game update, as announced by Epic on Twitter.
