Well it took me most of this morning to finally get online in Fortnite, especially after a full 80 minute queue time that to its credit, did let me into the game after that timer was up.

It’s an awkward time for Fortnite, given that they just launched a war/invasion themed season at the same time Russia is busy invading Ukraine, but their solution is that battle pass and cosmetic sales for these first two weeks will go to supporting Ukraine relief efforts.

So, what’s in that battle pass that you can buy for a good cause? A lot of different stuff, including some of the better original skins I’ve seen them do In some time. Oh and of course, Doctor Strange. He’s hard to miss.

So, let’s get started:

Page 1 – The skin that everyone gets this time around is Tsuki 2.0, an upgraded version of a robot skin that has become a Fortnite classic over the last stretch of time. She has back bling and her own weapons on this page as well that you can pick up. Tsuki has a special sword that you can “reprogram” to take different shapes and colors as you unlock currency for her.

Page 2 – We have our first “bad guy” skin this season in the form of Gunnar, who plays for team IO, and his weapon is a part of hand chainsaws that are a pretty decently cool mining tool if you ask me.

Page 3- You can get Gunnar a terrifying mask on this page, plus an alternate color scheme for Tsuki 2.0. Otehrwise, just some other V-bucks and music tracks on this page.

Page 4 – Here we have the introduction of The Imagined and her cool nose ring. She’s got a great back bling and glider based on razor wings, and you can get an alternate style for her a little further down the line. Gunnar gets a new style here too.

Page 5 – Kiara returns with a KO variant, showing we are circling back to a few different older skins. This page has a pretty fun Segway traversal emote you can grab as well. I really like Kiara’s graffiti trail as well.

Page 6 – Here you can grab a classic Tsuki skin variant, and thoen a helmeted version of The Imagined. Also a weapon skin and a cool wallpaper here.

Page 7 – We are finally meeting The Origin, a long rumored character that will have a role to play in the story of this season, including his very own voice actor, I believe. Kiara gets another skin variant in this page too.

Page 8 – Fortnite loves its anime-inspired skins, and now we have another “flat” animation skin in the form of Erisa, a cat girl. Who doesn’t love cat girls? I really want to see how the dagger wheel glider works in action.

Page 9 – Erisa gets a color variant and The Origin gets an emote that transforms him into an armored version of himself on command. Not bad.

Page 10 – I mean what, you didn’t think Doctor Strange was going to be page 10? Of course he was. He has a spellbook, spells and the promise of Scarlet Witch to come later. What, you didn’t think she’d arrive later? Mark my words.

Secret Skin – The secret skin is going to be Miles Morales adversary Prowler, and he’s just “coming soon” right now so we will have to do challenges to unlock him later on.

Got all that? Now spend that money and donate to Ukraine in the process.
