Former Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez rattled off a bunch of MLB “injustices.”

Throughout the 2021 MLB season, the competition for the AL MVP award has been between two players — Los Angeles Angels two-way player Shohei Ohtani and Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. It will certainly make for a contentious debate and not everyone will be satisfied with the end result. Former MLB outfielder Manny Ramirez knows it.

During an interview with Hector Gomez of Z101 Digital, Ramirez rattled off a list of injustices that has occurred in the league as of late. After listing them off, the former Boston Red Sox slugger stated that Guerrero not being named the AL MVP will join that list of injustices. You can read his comments in the tweets below:

Manny Ramírez: "In MLB there have been many injustices. Mike Trout won several MVP awards without deserving it. I also remember that there was a year that Derek Jeter won the Gold Glove and the one who deserved it was Omar Vizquel. They also want to do the same to Vladdy Jr." pic.twitter.com/legS3nai86

Replaces the standard perk if this hero is slotted as the commander. Save the world that could be purchased through the event shop during yarrr's return event. Passive bonus granted if this hero is slotted in a hero loadout.

Manny Ramirez lists off injustices in MLB

As you read, Ramirez states what he believes were injustices in the league over the years. From claiming that Angels star outfielder Mike Trout won multiple MVP awards without deserving them, to Derek Jeter winning a Gold Glove award instead of Omar Vizquel one year, Ramirez got a lot off his chest. He even went further, as you can see in the clip below.

Manny Ramírez on Vladimir Guerrero Jr.‘s chances to win the MVP: “What they want to do with this kid it’s an injustice, the same they did to me. If you check on my numbers you will see I’m supposed to have 4 MVP Awards on my trophy case.”pic.twitter.com/aK8GCAH3QS

In terms of the face of MLB this season, that has been Ohtani due to his play on the mound and his power in the batter’s box. But one advantage that Guerrero has over Ohtani is that his play is helping the Blue Jays make a push for a postseason berth. With less than a month remaining in the season, these two will make their final cases of being named MLB.

However the voting ends up, it will surely be a contentious debate that dominates the MLB offseason.
