Over the years, Epic Games has introduced a few different emotes to its popular battle royale title Fortnite. They come in all forms, including dances, traversal movements, short jigs, brief movements, and a whole lot more. As the years go by, the cumulative total only grows.
Many of these have been stellar emotes. T-Pose has become an instant classic and is perhaps the most simplistic emote in the entire game. Orange Justice is iconic and Floss has become a cultural phenomenon.
More often than not, the emotes Fortnite receives have been a success. However, that's not always the case. Here are a few that shouldn't have been added, either because they're simply bad or just don't fit in.
Fortnite emotes that should not have been added to the game
7) Dance Monkey

Dance Monkey was one of the most hyped emotes in recent memory. Fortnite promoted it with many gamers expressing excitement over the leaks. However, when it was finally added to the game, players quickly discovered that it was just an average emote.
The dance is nothing special and the accompanying song isn't, either. All said and done, this is a pretty disappointing emote that probably should have just been skipped.
6) How Sweet!

This emote isn't bad, it just doesn't make much sense in Fortnire. Many emotes don't exactly fit into a fight-to-death battle royale, but stopping to make a cake piece-by-piece just doesn't make any sense. It's harmless, but there's no real reason why it should have been included.
There's also no place to use it. Many emotes can be fun after an elimination or a win, but this doesn't fit anywhere.
5) Shake & Split
Neither one of these co-op emotes should really be in the game. They're not that fun, and co-op emotes are hard to pull off. They require someone else who owns the emote to perform it with a player, which is a rare occurrence. Plus, these particular emotes don't exactly entice players to carry them out together, which is why they shouldn't be included in Fortnite.
4) Bully
There are a lot of animal-themed emotes available, but perhaps none worse than Bully. The emote is long, annoying, and useless. It's not clever or funny and it doesn't have a nice sound to it. There's no reason to use this emote, and most gamers don't seem to like it. For this reason, the emote should never have been added.
3) Survivorsault
Most players don't like this emote. Those who regrettably spent V-Bucks on it don't even bother using it. It was a clever idea since the dance itself is fairly funny, but it doesn't add much value to the game. Combine that with the fact that it has essentially been a dud, it definitely looks like Epic Games made a mistake bringing this one into Fortnite.
2) Digitized
Digitized was an absolute swing and miss. It wasn't a horrible idea, but the execution was seriously lacking. Most players didn't bother acquiring it and those that did largely regret it. Epic won't remove the emotes, but many wish this hadn't been added in the first place.
1) The Renegade
The Renegade being included in Fortnite doesn't really come as a surprise. They have tried to get all the major and trending dances into the game and the Renegade was one of the first to fall under that category.
However, it just doesn't fit well. It's a trendy TikTok dance that has nothing to do with the game and it's not fun or clever enough to justify its inclusion.
It arguably started the trend of bringing TikTok dances into the game, creating good and bad examples. Unfortunately, The Renegade is 'the' bad example.
